On 20 January, ESCWA and the Center on International Cooperation at New York University organized a webinar on “Social Justice and Social Protection in the Arab Region”, as part of a series aimed at cultivating the culture of social justice and discussing key social and economic policies for achieving social justice in the region.
The first webinar focused on social protection policies and offered an opportunity for government officials to exchange experiences about promising policies and programmes on social protection from the region and the world.
The webinar also presented a set of tools and manuals developed by ESCWA to enhance member States’ capacities in integrating the concepts of social justice in public policies and programmes.
