Regional Handbook: Improving Disability Data Collection and Analysis in Arab Countries, Second Edition

October 2024

This second edition of the Regional guidebook to improve disability data collection and analysis in the Arab countries expands on the first edition of the Guidebook, which was published in 2018. It provides countries with further guidelines and standards to improve the collection and dissemination of harmonized disability data using the Washington Group questions. This edition of the Guidebook also further explores and presents a proposal for a standalone household survey to collect in-depth information on the well-being of persons with disabilities. This survey was developed by ESCWA in collaboration and discussion with member countries to serve as a minimum standard for the region.
