This document contains a draft plan of action for the implementation of the Agreement on International Railways in the Arab Mashreq. As part of the process of developing the Integrated Transport System in the Arab Mashreq (ITSAM), the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) has concluded agreements on networks of international roads and railways in the region, with the aim of strengthening thereby the links between the countries of the region and achieving regional integration.
