Population and Developement Report - Issue No. 6 - Development Policy Implications of Age-structural Transitions in Arab Countries
January 2013
Arab countries are currently undergoing profound age-structural transitions which will have significant implications for their development, both in the short and long term. These changes bring with them the potential for large development gains if the right policies are in place. The Population and Development Report VI: Development Policy Implications of Age-Structural Transitions in Arab Countries therefore considers the economic and social policy reforms that Arab countries must undertake to benefit from the time-limited "demographic window of opportunity".
