Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs) are essential for following up on and reviewing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Through VNRs, member States report on their progress, priorities and experiences, with a view to accelerating the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and mobilizing multi-stakeholder partnerships.
To support Arab States in their VNR preparations, ESCWA, the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs and the League of Arab States have been organizing a series of regional workshops on VNRs since 2019. The workshops serve as a platform for knowledge exchange and peer learning on VNR issues.
The tenth workshop focuses on preparations for the 2024 Arab country VNRs, which include exploring the challenges and the progress made, and on financing sustainable development as a key global and regional priority and a means of implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
