In light of ongoing preparations for the global review of States' efforts to implement the decisions of the Fourth World Conference on Women, and in the context of member States' support to monitor progress in the implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action 15 years after its adoption, ESCWA and the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States have cooperated in the preparation and issuance of a consolidated Arab regional report on Beijing +15, to be adopted at the fourth session of the Committee on Women.
In this context, an expert group meeting for the "review of progress in the implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action in the Arab region: Beijing +15" is being organized with the aim of discussing the report, making the necessary adjustments and suggesting recommendations to the Committee on Women as part of an assessment of Arab States' efforts to implement the Beijing Platform for Action 15 years after its adoption.
