Within the framework of the considerable efforts made by the Jordanian Government to respond to the needs of older persons and provide them with an adequate and safe legislative, social and economic environment, the National Council for Family Affairs, with technical support from ESCWA, has developed the draft National Strategy for Older Persons for the years 2024-2028.
In this context, a workshop is being held to present and discuss the draft National Strategy for Older Persons in Jordan with the participation of members of the National Committee for Older Persons representing various ministries, relevant government agencies and civil society, in addition to representatives of international and regional organizations. The outcomes and the discussions of the workshop will be used to revise the final version of the strategy.
