As part of the project on the “Inclusion of persons with disabilities in the workplace” that is being implemented in cooperation with the International Labour Organization, ESCWA is organizing a series of training of trainers workshops to prepare qualified trainers to provide specialized training on disability inclusion to employers in the private and public sectors in the Arab region.
The workshops cover training techniques and effective strategies for engaging adult learners, diversity and inclusion, inclusive language and terminology, legislative frameworks and international conventions, requirements for inclusion management, engineering approaches and accommodation, inclusive recruitment mechanisms, and integrating inclusion standards in workplace policies. Fifty representatives from ministries and organizations of persons with disabilities from all 20 ESCWA member States are being trained in Jordan, Oman, Tunisia and the Sudan.
