On 3 May, ESCWA held "ESCWA Stories Day" at Al-Bayan Bilingual School in Kuwait. The event was the result of months of student engagement with the ESCWA Stories comic book, where children took part in activities reflecting the mission of the Commission and its approach in tackling the Arab region’s most pressing challenges.
Students performed a number of plays related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on issues such as rational water consumption, school dropouts, green spaces, gender equality, and the importance of partnerships.
The ceremony was followed by an art exhibition featuring students' works inspired by characters of ESCWA Stories and the SDGs.
