Achieving SDG 7 - which ensures access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all – is a key factor to reduce poverty and inequality, to combat climate change and achieve sustainable development.
ESCWA held a session on the sidelines of AFSD to discuss progress in achieving SDG 7 in the Arab region, and innovative policy solutions to accelerate its achievement.
Participants also tackled the challenges and opportunities facing the energy sector, as well as policy solutions to facilitate just and inclusive energy transitions.
