Older persons in Somalia are a growing vulnerable group that is facing an increasing risk of poverty, disease and exclusion.
Against this backdrop, ESCWA in collaboration with the Somalian Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs organized on 23 and 24 August a workshop on mainstreaming ageing in policymaking.
The workshop aimed to build the knowledge of relevant ministries’ representatives on older persons issues and priorities, the relevant global frameworks, and means to address them considering the national context.
