Beirut, 22 June 2018 (Communication and Information Unit)—Ahead of the 30th Ministerial Session of ESCWA taking place under the High Patronage of His Excellency President Michel Aoun at the UN House, Riad al-Solh square, on 27 and 28 June 2018, please find below information related to media coverage.
 
Members of the press wishing to cover the Session are kindly requested to register their attendance here and provide a photo. This measure is necessary to accelerate entry into the UN House.
 
Opening of the Ministerial Session (27 June 2018)
 
9:00am : By this time, journalists and media representatives should be in their designated area inside the Main Conference Hall. After 9:00, entrance into the UN House will not be possible until the end of the opening ceremony.
     
10:00am : The opening of the 30th Ministerial Session will begin at 10:00 with live coverage by Tele Liban and a livestreaming through an ESCWA YouTube channel. Links will be disseminated on social media platforms in advance.
     
During the ceremony : ESCWA Communication and Information Unit and the Safety and Security Section will assist media to take video and still shots of the senior officials in the Hall.
     
    ESCWA will be using hashtags #tech4dev in English and #تكنولوجيا_للتنمية in Arabic. Thank you for using them when tweeting about the Session.
 
Following the ceremony
 
The ESCWA Communication and Information Unit will support reporters to arrange interviews with ministers and senior officials taking part in the Ministerial Session. A media room will also be available for reporters with access to a printer.
