On the sidelines of the ECOSOC Partnership Forum held on 30 January at the UN Headquarters in New York, ESCWA and UN-Habitat organized a virtual side-event in the framework of the Quality of Life initiative.
The side event introduced participants to the Quality of Life initiative, launched by ESCWA and UN-Habitat, to help local Governments and policymakers make clear, informed decisions for the well-being of people and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The event advocated for the quality of life as a perspective through which SDGs should be approached, and for addressing data deficiencies to understand how cities are effectively meeting the needs of their residents in a sustainable manner.
