On 16 March, ESCWA, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior in Jordan, held the third national workshop as part of its project on “Reducing Road deaths and injuries in Jordan through increasing the use of safety belts and child restraints”.
The workshop was an opportunity for participants to discuss ways to successfully reduce traffic fatalities and injuries in the country, by promoting the use of seat belts and child restraints.
ESCWA had previously held a national workshop showcasing the project's programmes and activities, and a second one presenting a regulatory framework to improve road safety.
