April 2024
This study was prepared under the leadership of the Higher Population Council in Jordan and with the support of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA). It highlights the trends and patterns of migration to Jordan, addresses the challenges and opportunities of international migration, and contributes to identifying priorities and policy interventions to promote migration governance in Jordan, maximize its positive returns and minimize its negative impacts. The Higher Population Council and ESCWA hope that the study will provide a basis for developing the strategy on migration in Jordan, which in turn, will contribute to achieving Jordan Vision 2025 and the Economic Modernization Vision 2033, as well as the objectives of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular migration.
