To promote the development of digital services in Morocco, ESCWA, in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform and the Digital Development Agency (ADD), organized a capacity building workshop on the Government Electronic and Mobile Services (GEMS) Maturity Index.
The workshop, held on 14 September, presented the findings generated by the tool and familiarized participants with its data collection features.
The GEMS index aims to measure the maturity of government services provided through e-portals and mobile applications across the Arab region. It also enables decision and policymakers to monitor digital transformation programmes.
