Given the important role of information and communications technology in enhancing services provided by governmental and non-governmental institutions, ESCWA and the Communication and Media Commission in Iraq (CMC) jointly hosted a virtual workshop on developing digital technology policies within the country.
The workshop on 16 November emphasized key concepts of digital technologies and their impact on sustainable development. It offered insights into best practices from both the regional and international arenas, particularly in developing policies related to digital transformation, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing.
The workshop also delved into ongoing and prospective initiatives by the CMC in the development of pertinent policies.
